House bill entitled an Act amendatory of an Act passed
February 13, 1862, and entitled an Act to incorporate the
Baltimore City Passenger Railway Company.
Which report was adopted,

And the bill returned to the House of Delegates.
On motion by Mr. Fields,

The following message was sent to the House of Dele-
gates :
BY THE SENATE,

March 3.0,1868.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received from your Honorable Body Senate bill
entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of Public
Local Laws, to be entitled Public Roads in Caroline county,
with amendments, and concur in all of said amendments
except the amendment to strike out sections 5 and 6, from
which the Senate ask your Honorable Body to recede.

By order,
A. GASSAWAY,

Secretary.
On motion by Mr. Earle, it was

Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on Claims
of the House of Delegates, be directed to issue his certificate
to pay P. G. Schwrar, George Johnson, and Richard Cow-
man, the sum of ten dollars each, for services rendered as
extra Committee Clerks.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Grove offered the following orders :
Ordered, That the Committee on Claims pay to Thomas
A. Mitchell, keeper and police of the rotunda, ($10.00) ten
dollars for each and every Sunday during the session of the
General Assembly.

Ordered, That the compensation of the committee clerks
of the Senate of this present session, be also fixed at $7.00
per day.
Which were rejected.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,

It was ordered, That the Chairman of Joint Committee-
on Printing, be and they are hereby ordered and directed to
take a bond in the sum of thirty thousand dollars for the use
of the State, for the faithful fulfillment of the contract
ordered by the General Assembly with Wm. Thompson, of
R., as public Printer, the condition of which bond shall be,
if the Printer shall fully discharge the conditions of his con-
