Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of the suffering
people of the South, through the agency of the Ladies'
Southern Industrial Association and Ladies' Southern Belief
Association of Baltimore city.

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, returned

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1867, chap-
ter 290, entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of
Public General Laws, to be entitled Public Roads, and to
re-enact the following sections in lieu thereof.

With proposed amendment:

Section 10, strike out the word "Somerset," in 2d line,
and the words "and Talbot," in same line, and insert the
word and, after "Prince George's."
Which was adopted.

Mr. Hyland offered the following amendments to the
bill:

Section 1, line 4, after the word "roads," insert, except so
far as said Act relates to Somerset county.

Amend title by inserting after the word "roads," in 3d
line, except so far as this Act relates to Somerset county.

Which were adopted,

And the bill as amended passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
