Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, reported

House bill entitled an Act to confer upon the Lochiel
Lumber, Mining, Manufacturing and Improvement Com-
pany, of Allegany county, the authority to erect and main-
tain a boom or boom with piers and necessary appurtenances
upon the Great Savage River, in Allegany county.

Which was read a second time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 49 of Article
88 of the Code of Public General Laws, title Sheriff, sub-
title Collection of Officers' Fees, and to amend and re-enact
the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 24 of Article
47 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Inheritance,
and to re-enact the same with an amendment,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of
the West River Academy in Anne Arundel county,

Wa» read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to make valid certain Inden-
tures of Apprenticeship, made and entered into in Somerset
county in the year 1864, which said indentures were not
ratified by the Judges of the Orphans' Court of said county
in time, in consequence of the illegal military arrest of the
said Judges of the said Orphans' Court,

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
lows :
