tee on Corporations.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to appoint a commission of
three persons to meet a like number of persons appointed by
the State of Virginia, to settle and adjust the boundary line
on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, between the
States of Virginia and Maryland.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to add new sections to the Code
of Public Local Laws for Baltimore city. Article 4, under
the head of Tobacco, as amended and re-amended by the Acts
of Assembly of 1864, chapter 346, 1865, chapter 194, and
1867, chapter 368.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Labor and Agriculture.

Also, delivered

An additional supplement to the Act entitled an Act for
founding an academy at Hagerstown, in Washington
county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Washington, Montgomery and Talbot counties.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to make valid the official acts
of certain Constables appointed by the Mayor and City Coun-
cil of Baltimore, elected under the present Constitution of
the State of Maryland.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also, returned

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Baltimore and
Ohio Rail Road Company to lay a railroad track in certain
streets in the city of Baltimore, and to make an appropria-
tion for paying the expenses thereof on account of and for
the interest of the Tobacco Fund, with proposed amend-
ments :

Section 2, line 1, after the word "State," insert the words
upon the warrant of the Comptroller.
