740 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 28, EVENING SESSION. SATURDAY, March 28,1868. At 7, P.M., the Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Present at roll call : Messrs. President, Browne, Biggs, Brewer, Clarke, Earle, Fields, Grove, Hyland, Hammond, Lee, Maddox, Miller, Spates—14. The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the follow- ing Senate bills, Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays :" An Act to authorize the Comptroller of the Treasury to adjust and settle the claims of the State Attorneys in the several counties and city of Baltimore, for certain fees due by the State. A bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1864, chapter 267, providing for a State subscription to Wingate's Mary- and Register, and to re-enact the same with amendments. A bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to the Public Local Laws of Dorchester county, Article 10, entitled Dorchester county. A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore and North Point Turnpike Road Company. A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Guy Manufac- turing Company of Maryland. A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Worthington Valley and Manchester Rail Road Company. Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to pay the per diem and ex- penses of the joint committee appointed by the General Assembly at its last session, to meet a similar committee appointed by the State of Virginia, to settle and adjust the boundary line between Maryland and Virginia on the East- ern Shore. Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit- tee on Finance. Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Mutual Coal Company of Allegany county. |
