1868.] OF THE SENATE. 739 Assembly, for the selection of a site and erection of a mansion as a a residence for the Governor of the State. The site select- ed is the property owned by Mrs. M. E. Green, Mr. George E. Franklin and Mr. James W. Allen. By order, M. Y. KIDD, Chief Clerk. Senate bill entitled a supplement to an Act entitled an Act for founding a College at Chestertown, Kent county, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Browne, Lee, Biggs, Miller, Clarke, Malone, Earle, Spates, Fields, Smith, Grove, Walsh, Hyland, Welch—15. Hammond, NEGATIVE—None. On motion by Mr. Clarke, it was Ordered, That when the Senate meet again, the regular order of business be pursued and all Senate bills be disposed of before taking up House bills until the files on the desk are cleared, and that the Senate meet at 7 o'clock, P. M., to-day. On motion by Mr. Fields, The Senate adjourned until 7 o'clock this evening. |
