third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of West-
ernport, Allegany county, Maryland,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Mr. Iglehart, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
(the rules being suspended,) reported favorably a bill enti-
tled an Act to incorporate the Frederick and Emmittsburg
Rail Road Company.

Which was read a first time, and made the order of the
day for Monday next, the 3rd day of February, and ordered
to be printed.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the appointment of
three superintendents, to supervise and control the repairs
find improvements of two Public County Roads in Allegany
county, the one leading from Oakland to Accident, and the
other from a point on said road near McHenry's Gate to
Selbysport in said county, and to authorize the County Com-
missioners of said county to make levies for the repairs
and improvement of the same,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to open West Fayette Street, ex-
tending into Baltimore county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The hill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Allegany county, to improve a road running from
Green Ridge on the National Turnpike to Twiggs Lock, on
the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 23 of the 1st Ar-
ticle of the Code of Public Local Laws and re-enact the
same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title "Publication of Laws,' by adding thereto
an additional section as follows :
