The consideration of the House general school bill was
continued from chapter 8, section 2.

Mr. Clarke, offered the following amendment :

Chapter 8, section 2, line 3, after the word States, insert :
"the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of
the State of Maryland."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Lee offered the following amendment :
Chapter 8, section 2. Strike out "good behavior, vocal
music, physiology, the laws of health and domestic
economy."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Hammond offered the following amendment ;

Page 26, section 2, line 5, strike out "Trustees," and in-
sert : School District Board.

Which was adopted.
Mr. Carroll offered the following amendment:

Page 26, section 4. Strike out from line 3, section 4, all
after the word "attend," to the end of the section.
Which was adopted.

Mr. Henkle offered the following amendment :
Page 27, section 5, line 2. Strike out "seven" and insert
six.

Which was adopted.
Mr. Hammond offered the following amendment :

Page 27, section 5, line 4, insert after the word "several"
the words School District.

Which was adopted.
Mr. Henkle offered the following amendment :

Strike out from "hours," in second line to "and" in third
line.

Which was adopted.
Mr. Hammond offered the following amendments :

Page 27, section 6, line 7, insert after "the" the words
School District, and strike out "of Trustees."

Page 27, section 6. Strike out all to the word "shall," in
line 5, and insert: any person who shall disturb any dis-
trict school in session.
