NEGATIVE—None.
And returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Grove, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the American Life
Insurance and Trust Company, to settle any outstanding
transaction in which it may be interested,

With the following amendments :
Amend section 1, line 7, by adding the following words :

Provided that the twenty cents on every hundred dollars
of the capital stock of said company be paid as provided for
by and under the Act of the General Assembly, passed 1835,
chapter 240 ; and provided, that nothing in. this Act shall
effect any suit now pending in Equity or effect any plea now
pleaded or which may hereafter be pleaded in any suit now
instituted.
Which were adopted.

And the bill as amended read a second time.
Also, reported favorably

House resolution authorizing the State Librarian to fur-
nish the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Charles county, and
the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Baltimore city, certain
reports therein named for the use of said Courts.

Which was read the second time.
Also, reported favorably

House bill entitled an Act to make valid the bequests made
by Thomas B. Kessler, late of Frederick county, State of
Maryland, to Peter Beard, in trust for the use and benefit of
Mount Zion German Reformed Church of Frederick county.

Which was read the second time.
Also, reported favorably

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, chapter 110,
of the law passed January 20th, 1808, entitled an Act to incor-
porate the Contributors to the Baltimore General Dispensary.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Henkle from the Committee on Internal Improvements,
reported favorably

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of the Act
