The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. On motion by Mr. Maddox, The following message was sent to the House of Delegates : BY THE SENATE, March 25,1868. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates : We have received your message proposing the appointment of Committee of Conference on the bill entitled an Act to re- peal section 18 of Article 73, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Penitentiary, and to re-enact the same with amendments, and we concur therein. We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Earle and Hammond. By order, A. GASSAWAY, Secretary. Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act amendatory of an Act, passed February 13th, 1862, and entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore city Passenger Railway Company, Which was read the second time. Mr. Maddox, from the Committee on Education, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of the West River Academy, in Anne Arundel county. Which was read the first time. House bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act to regulate the issuing of License for the sale of spiritu- ous or fermented liquors within the Borough of North East, in Cecil county, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE.
