The bill entitled an Act to amend the 14th section of the
Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Kent County Railroad
Company, chapter 148, passed at January session, 1856, and
to re-enact the same as amended,
Was read a third time, and,
On motion of Mr. Latrobe,
Ordered to bo printed, and the further consideration
thereof postponed,
And the bill made the order of the day for Thursday next,
the 6th of February.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following
JOINT RESOLUTION :
Resolved It/ the General Assembly of Maryland, That his
Excellency, the Governor, be and he is hereby requested to
issue a commission, in the usual form, to the Hon. William
T. Hamilton, as Senator elect to represent this State in the
Congress of the United States for the term of six years from
the 4th of March. 1869.
Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.
Also, delivered a bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter
129 of the Acts of 1864, entitled an Act to add additional
sections to the 44th Article of the Code of Public General
Laws, title " Maryland Hospital," prescribing an additional
oath to be taken by the President, Vice-President and Visi-
tors of the said Hospital, and to reinstate the former Presi-
dent. Vice-President and Visitors of the said Hospital in
office,
