Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act to repeal the Act of 1865, chapter 174, entitled an Act relating to the reg- istration of the voters of the State, and to enact other provi- sions relating to the registration of voters in lieu thereof, chapter 336, passed March 13, 1867, and to enact other pro- visions relating to the registration of voters in lieu thereof, Was taken up on its second reading, and On motion by Mr. Snyder, Was made the order of the day for Monday next, 23d inst. The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow- ing message: BY THE HOUSE or DELEGATES, March 21,1868. Gentlemen of the Senate : We have received your message asking the return of a bill entitled an Act to authorize the American Life Insurance and Trust Company to settle any outstanding transactions in which it may be interested, and respectfully return the same. By order, M. Y. KIDD, Chief Clerk. The bill therein mentioned was returned and referred to Committee on Judicial Proceedings. Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Adjutant Gen- eral to purchase arms for the use of Charlotte Hall School. Which was read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Militia. Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to amend the Public Local Laws of Kent county, title Chestertown, by repealing sections 35 and 46, and to re-enact the same as amended. Which was read the first time and referred to the Sena- tors from Kent, Queen Anne's, and Calvert counties. Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 48 of Article 28 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled County Com- missioners, under the head of bridges, and to re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com- mittee on Judicial Proceedings. |
