602 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 21, Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to authorize the county Com- missioners of Anne Arundel county to subscribe in behalf of said county to the capital stock of the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad Company, and issue bonds for the same and provide for their redemption. Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Hen- kle, Parker, and Clarke. Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to create an additional election district in Howard county, to be styled the Sixth Election District of Howard county. Which was read the first time, and referred to the Senators from Howard, Allegany and Harford. Senate bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Central Coal Mining and Manufac- turing Company, passed, at January session, 1853, chapter 366, authorizing said company to reduce its capital stock, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Lee, Biggs, Miller, Brewer, Parker of Calvert, Clarke, Spates, Carroll, Snyder, Grove, Smith, Henkle, Walsh—15. Hyland, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 21, of Article 7, of the Code of Public Local Laws, of Carroll county, enti- tled "Justices of the Peace and Constables," and to re-enact the same with amendments, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol- lows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hyland, Biggs, Lee, Brewer, Miller, Clarke, Parker, of Calvert, Carroll, Snyder, Grove, Smith, Henkle, Walsh—14. NEGATIVE—None. |
