the results of their work to be submitted to the Legislatures
of the said States for approval or rejection.

We have named on the part of the House, Messrs. Mullin,
Smith, of Worcester, and Corbin.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

The following message was sent to the House of Delegates
in response to the above :

BY THE SENATE,

March 20,1868.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message proposing the appointment
of a joint committee of two from the Senate and three from
the House, to whom shall be referred the report of the joint
committee from the two Houses of the last General Assembly,
to meet a similar committee appointed by the Legislature of
Virginia, in February, 1867, to adjust and mark the Eastern
Shore boundary line between the two States ; the results of
their work to be submitted to the Legislatures of the said
States for approval or rejection, and concur therein.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Hy-
land and Smith.

The following message from His Excellency, Governor
Swann, was received and read :

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

ANNAPOLIS, March 20,1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

I have this day signed and transmitted to the Clerk of the
Court of Appeals, the following bills received from your Hon-
orable Body, on the 17th day of March instant :

A supplement to the Act passed at January session, 1866,
chapter 52, entitled "An Act to incorporate the Dorchester
and Delaware Railroad Company, "and to direct the pay-
ment to the said company of the sum of money pledged by
the Act, passed at January session, 1860, chapter 303, to
works of Internal Improvement in Dorchester county.
