House bill entitled an Act to authorize the American Life
Insurance and Trust Company to settle any outstanding
transaction in which it may be interested.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend an Act 'entitled an
Act to incorporate the Central Coal Mining and Manufactur-
ing Company, passed at January session, 1853, chapter 366,
authorizing said company to reduce its capital stock.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to compensate James Higgins for a work of his published by
order of the Legislature for the use of the State.

Which was read the first time.

Also, reported

Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new Article to the
Code of Public General Laws, to be entitled Domestic In-
surance Companies, providing for annual reports of the con-
dition of the said several insurance companies incorporated
under the laws of this State, and doing business within the
limits thereof.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Malone, from a select committee, reported

Senate bill entitled an Act to make valid certain inden-
tures of apprenticeship made and entered into in Somerset
county in the year 1860, from which said indentures were
not ratified by the Judges of the Orphans' Court of said
county in time in consequence of the illegal military arrest
of the said Judges of the said Orphans' Court.

Which was read the first time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Delaware
Tribe No. 43, Improved Order of Redmen of Berlin, Frede-
rick county, Maryland,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
