568 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS Mar 19, passed March 21st, 1867, chapter 329, entitled an Act to provide for the selection, drawing and summoning jurors in the several counties and prescribing their qualifications, and re-enact the same with amendment, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Senate bill entitled an Act to prevent the sale of intoxica- ting liquors within three miles of the village of Darnestown, Montgomery county, Maryland, Was taken up, and Mr. Henkle offered the following amendments: Section 1, line 1, after sale, insert "bartering or giving." Section 1, line 2, after the word "liquors," insert "to minors." Which was adopted. The bill as amended was then passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hummond, Browne, Lee, Biggs, Miller, Brewer, Malone, Clarke, Parker, of Calvert, Carroll, Spates, Fields, Snyder, Grove. Walsh, Henkle, Welch—19. Hyland, NEGATIVE—None. And sent 13 the House of Delegates. Mr. Kimmel was excused from voting. On motion by Mr. Clarke, The vote by which the bill relating to Sheriffs' fees, was rejected, Was reconsidered; and The bill made the order of the day for Monday, March 30th, next. Senate bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article 20, of the Public Local Laws for Talbot county, and town of St. Michael's, to be entitled Harbors and Harbor Masters, |
