Mr. Miller, from a select committee, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2 of Article 41 of the Public General Laws of Maryland, title Fish and Fisheries, and to re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read a second time. Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of Cecil and Kent counties to build a bridge over Sassafras River from Fredericktown, in Cecil county, to Georgetown, in Kent county, and to levy a sum of money for the same. Which was read the second time. On motion by Mr. Walsh, The Senate went into executive session. After a short session, On motion by Mr. Hyland, The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi- ness. Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 36, Article 19, of the Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County," regu- lating the terms of the Circuit Court for Somerset county, and to re-enact the same with amendments, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hyland, Browne, Hammond, Biggs, Kimmel, Brewer, Lee, Clarke, Miller, Carroll, Malone, Denson, Parker, of Calvert, Earle, Snyder, Fields, Smith, Grove, Walsh—21. Henkle, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. On motion by Mr. Kimmel, Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report |
