On motion by Mr. Earle, It was ordered, that the Comptroller of the Treasury re- port to the Senate, at his earliest convenience, if any other officer of the Militia of the State, than the Adjutant General, has received salary or pay as compensation for services since the adoption of the present Constitution, and if so, what officer ? What amount of compensation has been received ? And out of what fund has he been paid ? Mr. Snyder introduced a joint resolution in relation to Banking Institutions. Which was read a first time. House bill entitled an Act to cause to be transcribed a cer- tain record book of wills, to provide for making a general index to wills, and for binding the record books in the office of the Register of Wills for Kent county, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hammond, Browne, Lee, Biggs, Miller, Brewer, Parker, of Calvert, Carroll, Spates, Earle, Snyder, Fields, Smith, Henkle, Welch—17. Hyland, NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
