1868.1 OF THE SENATE. 537 On motion by Mr. Hyland, Leave was granted to the Senators from Somerset, Wor- cester and Dorchester, to introduce a bill to repeal section 36, Article 19, of the Public Local Laws, title " Somerset County, " regulating the terms of the Circuit Court, and to re-enact the same with amendments. House bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1864, chap- ter 405, relating to the establishment of a uniform system of contracting for public printing, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Henkle, Browne, Hyland, Brewer, Hammond, Carroll, Miller, Denson, Malone, Earle, Snyder, Fields, Welch—14. NEGATIVE. Messrs. Biggs, Lee—2. The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Senate bill entitled an Act to encourage and facilitate im- migration to the State of Maryland, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol- lows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Grove, Browne, Henkle, Biggs, Hammond, Brewer, Lee, Carroll, Miller, Denson, Snyder, Earle, Walsh—15. Fields, NEGATIVE. Messrs. Hyland, Welch—2. The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 79 of the Public General Laws, title "Releases and Receipts," by adding a new section thereto, Was read a third time, and rejected by yeas and nays as follows: |
