to aid the Baltimore Humane Impartial Society and Aged
Women's and Aged Mens' Home, with the following amend-
ment :

Section 1, line 3, strike out the word " three " and insert
in lieu thereof the word one.
Which was adopted.
And the bill as amended read the second time.

Mr. Browne, from a select committee, reported
Senate bill entitled an Act to appoint an additional Con-
stable in Election District No. 5 in Carroll county,

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 20 of the Public Local Laws for Talbot county, and
town of St. Michael's, to be entitled "Harbors and Harbor
Masters,"

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Frederick county to subscribe to the capital
stock and endorse the mortgage bonds of the Western
Maryland Rail Road Company, the Frederick and Emmitts-
burg Rail Road Company, the Frederick and Pennsylvania
Line Rail Road Company, and the Frederick and Williams-
port Rail Road Company.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for an additional
Justice of the Peace in District No. 2, (Quantico,) in
Wicomico county,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to increase the fees of the
Sheriff of St. Mary's county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
and Swann Lake Passenger Railway Company,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to create the office of Wood-
Corder of Leonardtown,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for, a
