WEDNESDAY, March 18th, 1868.

The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Prayer by Rev. Mr. Hildt.
Present at roll call :

Messrs. President, Browne, Biggs, Brewer, Carroll, Den-
son, Earle, Fields, Grove, Hyland, Lee, Miller, Malone,
Spates, Snyder, Smith, Welch—16.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of Article
41, of the the Public General Laws of Maryland, title " Fish
and Fisheries," and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read the first time and referred to the Senators from
Cecil, Harford and Kent counties.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of the Act
passed March 13, 1867, chapter 286, entitled an Act to in-
corporate the Chester river fruit packing company, and to-
re-enact the same with an amendment.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered House Bill
entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Berlin, in Wor-
cester county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 16, of Article
11, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Attorneys at
Law and Attorneys in Fact, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

House joint resolutions in relation to the promotion of the
domestic trade in guano,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
