1868.] OF THE SENATE. 487 EVENING SESSION. MARCH 16th, 8 o'clock, P. M. The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Present at roll call: Messrs. President, Browne, Biggs, Brewer, Clarke, Denson, Earl, Fields, Grove, Henkle, Hyland, Hammond, Kimmel, Miller, Malone, Snyder, Smith, Walsh, Welch—-18. Senate bill entitled an Act to appoint an additional Con- stable in election district No. 5, in Carroll county, Which had been ordered to lie on the table, Was considered, and Recommitted to the select committee. Mr. Brewer, from a select committee, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the Register of Wills for Worcester county, to grant order of sale in the recess of the Orphans' Court. Which was read the first time. House bill entitled an Act to authorize and require the Comptroller to correct the errors in the distribution of the "Free School Fund," accruing under the Acts of 1813 and 1816, from the year 1852 to the year 1867 inclusive, and to pay to Baltimore city and to Baltimore county the amounts of which they have been deprived by said errors, and to make appropriation for that purpose, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hyland, Browne, Hammond, Biggs, Kimmel, Brewer, Malone, Clarke, Snyder, Denson, Smith, Fields, Welch—15. Grove, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. |
