486 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 16,

Senate bill entitled an Act to continue in force the Act en-
titled an Act to incorporate the North Branch Company,
passed at January session of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1853, chapter 108,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Knickerbocker
Life Insurance Company,

Was read a second time and order to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1867,
chapter 372, entitled " An Act to further extend the time
and provisions of the Act passed January 6th, 1864, chapter
373, and the supplements thereto, relating to the payment
of bounties to volunteers and drafted men of this State," and
to substitute therefor, an Act to provide for the, payment of
additional bounty, &c.

Being under consideration,

Was on motion by Mr. Clarke,.
Ordered to lie on the table.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,
The Senate adjourned until to-night at 8 o'clock.
