the balance of a debt due said Bank, contracted by the Com-
missioners of Public Free Schools in the 1st election district
of Baltimore county, under the Act of 1832, chapter 287.

Mr. Davis, of Cecil, Chairman of the Committee on the
Contingent Fund, submitted the following

REPORT:

The Committee on the Contingent Fund placed at the dis-
posal of the Executive, respectfully report that they have ex-
amined the vouchers submitted to them by the Governor,
amounting in the aggregate to the sum of $5,132.75, and
they find the same correct, and the purposes for which the
payments were made, were in the opinion of the Committee
both proper and legitimate.

Mr. Mullin, from the Committee on Ways and Means re-
ported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments, sections 33, 34, 35, 39 and 75, of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled Revenue and Taxes, and relating to
the appointment of, and the bonds to be given by, and com-
pensation paid to the Collectors of State taxes.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Colton, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 1st, of the Act passed
March 23d, 1867, chapter 187, entitled an Act to limit the
amount of stationery furnished to members and officers of
the General Assembly, and to provide a system of commu-
tation and re-enact in lieu of section 1st so repealed, the fol-
lowing.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Poteet, Chairman of the Committee on Roads and High-
ways, reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate a company to con-
