On motion of Mr. Keech,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill amending the Acts of 1865, chapter 162, and
1866, chapter 81, relating to the sale of real estate by the
Orphans' Courts of this State.

On motion of Mr. Richards,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Militia to introduce
a bill to refund the money paid as commutation fee under the
militia law.

On motion of Mr. Jordan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to change the name of Eliza Yeagle to Eliza
Jane Boyle.

On motion of Mr. Devecmon,

Leave was granted the Allegany delegation to introduce
a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 23 of the 1st Article
of the Code of Public Local Laws and re-enact the same with
amendments.

On motion of Mr. Williams,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill to pay Ann Langley, widow of Francis V. Lang-
ley ; Charlotte Ann Sheriff, widow of Thomas Sheriff; Mar-
tha Sweeney, widow of Dennis Sweeney; Sarah Tolson,
widow of Francis Tolson, Jr., and Massa Piles, widow of
Wm. H. Piles, all of Prince George's county, from the State
of Maryland, an annual pension of eighty dollars during
their natural lives—the said Francis V. Langley, Thomas
Sheriff, Dennis Sweeney, Francis Tolson, Jr., and William H.
Piles having served as soldiers in the war of 1812, and re-
ceived an honorable discharge therefrom.

On motion of Mr. Horsey,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill authorizing Aurelia A. Long and Wm. H. Roach,
temporary guardians of Alexander Long, of Somerset coun-
ty, to settle their guardian accounts with their said ward.

On motion of Mr. Hall,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce bill entitled an Act to repeal the charter of the
Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad.

On motion of Mr. Mullin,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to authorize and require the Commissioners
of Baltimore county, to levy a sum of money for the payment
to the National Union Bank of Maryland, at Baltimore, of
