Also reported Senate bill Entitled an Act to incorporate the Knickerbocker Life In- surance Company. Which was read the first time. Also reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Parkton and Manchester Rail Road Company. Which was read the second time. The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered House bill entitled an Act to provide for a public ferry at Rehoboth, in Somerset county. Which was read a first time and referred to the Senators from Somerset, Wicomico and Dorchester. Also delivered House bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sum of money therein mentioned to pay John Stevens Sellman, of Anne Arundel county, for his services as an Elector of the Senate of 1836. Which was read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Finance. Also delivered House bill entitled an Act to levy a tax upon all Banking Institutions doing business in this State in augmentation of the free school fund of this State. Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit- tee on Finance. Also delivered House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 18 of Article 73, of the Public General Laws, entitled Penitentiary, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
