Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact sections 32, 33, 37 and 81 of Article 20, of Public Local Laws for Talbot county, relating to the number, powers and election. of the Commissioners of Easton, and to add an additional section thereto. Which was read the first time. On motion by Mr. Spates, Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in- troduce a bill entitled an Act to continue in force, the Act entitled an Act to incorporate the North Branch Company, passed at January session of the General Assembly of Mary- land, of 1853, chapter 108. House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 289, of the laws of Maryland, passed March 22d, 1867, entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of Public General Laws, to be entitled Public Roads in Caroline and Talbot counties, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Lee, Biggs, Maddox, Brewer, Miller, Carroll, Spates, Fields, Snyder, Henkle, Welch—13. Hammond, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Mr. Spates from a select committee reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of Allegany county, to levy a certain. sum of money for Daniel Duncan, late Sheriff of Allegany county. Which was read a second time, Also reported favorably from the Committee on Corpora- tions, A bill entitled an Act to continue in force the Act entitled, an Act to incorporate the North Branch Company, passed at January session of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1853, chapter 108.
