1868.] OF THE SENATE. 463 SATURDAY, March 14,1868. The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Hammond. Present at roll call : Messrs. President, Biggs, Brewer, Carroll, Fields, Grove, Henkle, Hammond, Maddox, Miller, Spates, Snyder, Welch —13. Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 26, of Article 38, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the fees of Registers of Wills, and re-enact the same with amend- ments, Being the unfinished business of yesterday, Was taken up. Mr. Miller offered the following amendments : Strike out all after the words "seventy-five cents," in the '71st line and first section, to the end of the section. Strike out the words "and each creditor ten cents," in the 32d line and 1st section. Which were adopted, And the bill as amended was then passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hammond, Biggs, Maddox, Brewer, Miller, Carroll, Spates, Fields, Snyder, Grove, Welch—13. Henkle, NEGATIVE—Mr. Lee—1. The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. On motion by Mr. Biggs, Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to introduce a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of Frederick county to aid certain Rail Roads in said county.
