Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to report
a bill to pay Dr. M. C. Parker and others, bounty for certain
slaves therein, mentioned.

On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill to pay to James S. Morsell, Jr., bounty for a negro
slave therein mentioned.

On motion by Mr. Fields,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Caroline, Talbot
and Somerset, to introduce a bill to authorize the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Caroline county, to purchase a suitable
book in which to index the land records in said county.

On motion by Mr. Fields,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Caroline, Balti-
more and Kent, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to amend
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, by adding.there-
to the following sections relating to the inspection of Guanos,
other than Peruvian and of artificial, manufactured or manip-
ulated manures.

On motion by Mr. Welsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to amend the Act passed at January
session, 1867, chapter 329, entitled an Act relating TO the
drawing and summoning Jurors to the several Circuit Courts
of the various counties, and to re-enact the same with an
amendment.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to-
introduce a bill to incorporate the Baltimore and Swann
Lake Passenger Rail Road Company.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions, to intro-
duce a bill granting Pensions to Edward Burnham and
Thomas M, Fowbie of Baltimore county, soldiers of the War
of 1812.

Mr. Snyder from the Committee on Federal Relation, re-
ported favorably House Resolutions in relation to the promotion
of the domestic trade in Guano.
Which were read a second time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Parkton and Man-
chester Rail Road Company.

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.
