The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. On motion by Mr. Fields, The Senate adjourned until to-morrow at 11 A. M. THURSDAY, March 12th, 1868. The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Hammond. Present at roll call : Messrs. President, Browne, Biggs, Brewer, Clarke, Car- roll, Denson, Earle, Fields, Grove, Henkle, Hyland, Ham- mond, Kimmel, Lee, Maddox, Miller, Parker, of Calvert, Spates, Snyder, Smith, Walsh, Welch—23. Mr. Hammond presented the petition of citizens of Talbot county in regard to the Commissioners of the town of Easton, of said county. Which was referred to the Senators from Talbot Queen Anne's and Caroline. Also, a petition asking the repeal of the law in regard to shooting wild fowl. Which was referred to the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries. Mr. Denson presented the petition from G. Harlan Wil- liams and sixty others, asking the repeal of the Usury Law.
