1868.] OF THE SENATE. 437 House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Pikesville Rail Road Company of Baltimore, Being upon its third reading, Mr. Clarke offered the following amendment : Insert the names of L. P. D. Newman, Frank L. Morling and Wm. Lewin, as corporators. Amend the name of Lewis Turner, by inserting the word "Junior." Which were adopted, And the bill as amended, Was then passed by yeas and nays as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hammond, Browne, Kimmel, Biggs, Lee, Clarke, Maddox, Denson, Snyder, Fields, Smith, Grove, Walsh, Henkle, Welch—16. NEGATIVE—None. And returned to the House of Delegates. Mr. Maddox, from the Committee on Education, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 4 and 13 of the Act of Assembly, passed at the January session, 1856, chapter 97, entitled an Act to establish and endow an Agri- cultural College in the State of Maryland, and to enact the following sections in lieu thereof. Which was read the first time. House bill entitled an Act to amend and re-enact the 86th and 87th sections of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled Auctions, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE.
