President, Maddox, Denson, Snyder, Fields, Smith, Henkle, Welch—9. Hammond, The bill was therefore rejected. Senate bill entitled an Act regulating fences in Frede- rick county, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hyland, Browne, Hammond, Biggs, Kimmel, Clarke, Lee, Denson, Snyder, Fields, Smith, Grove, Walsh, Henkle, Welch—16. NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then sent to the House of House of Delegates. On motion by Mr. Lee, The following message was sent to the House of Delegates : BY THE SENATE, March 11,1868, Gentlemen of the House of Delegates : We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to the Senate the bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1867, passed March 20th, 1867, entitled an Act to provide for the payment of pensions to Maryland soldiers of the war of 1812, and widows of deceased soldiers of 1812, chapter 385, re- jected by the Senate, March 4th, 1868.
