Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Finance, then re- ported the bill therein referred to, and, On motion by Mr. Clarke, Said bill was referred to Senators Clarke, Henkle, Mad- dox, Spates and Kimmel. Mr. Grove, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported favorably, House bill entitled an Act to add to Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset county, entitled "Jurors," an additional section. Which was read the second time. Also, reported favorably, House bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to Ar- ticle 16 of the Code of Public General Laws entitled "Chan- cery," to come in after section 78 of said Article. Which was read a second time. Mr. Parker, of Calvert, from a select committee, re- ported Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com- missioners of Calvert county to subscribe in behalf of said county to the capital stock of the Baltimore and Drum Point Rail Road Company, and to issue bonds for that purpose. Which was read the first time. Mr. Brewer, from a select committee, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to prevent the sale of intoxica- ting liquors within 3 miles of the village of Darnestown, Montgomery county, Md. Which was read the first time. Mr. Smith, from a select committee, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to extend the time limited by the Act of 1867, chapter 189, section 6, for producing and perpetuating the evidence of the ownership of slaves, so far as the same relates to citizens of Dorchester county. Which was read the first time. Mr. Denson, from a select committee, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 810, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the city of |
