Senate bill entitled an Act to establish Physician's lien, Being the order of the day, Was taken up on its third reading, Mr. Lee offered the following amendment : Amend by striking out the word "old" where it occurs in the third line, first section. Which was adopted. The bill was then read a third time as amended, and re- jected by yeas and nays as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Browne, Maddox, Clarke, Miller, Kimmel, Snyder, Lee, Walsh—8. . NEGATIVE. Messrs. President, Hyland, Biggs, Malone, Brewer, Parker, of Calvert, Denson, Smith, Fields, Welch—10. Mr. Walsh, from a select committee, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to authorize and require Han- son Willison, late Sheriff of Allegany county, to convey cer- tain real estate situated in Grantsville, in said county, as in said Act provided. Which was read the second time. Mr. Malone, from a select committee, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to appoint a visitor to the Maryland Hospital for Wicomico county. Which was read the first time. Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 3, of an Act entitled an Act incorporating the Maryland Institute, for the promotion of the Mechanic Arts, passed December session, 1849, chapter 114, and to enact a substitute therefor, and to add additional sections thereto, as sections 8 and 9, 28 |
