House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Union Coal Company;

With the following proposed amendments :

Section 1, line 3, after the word "Hoffman," insert the
names of James Boyce and George Warner, jr.;

Section 2, line 2, after the word "into," insert the words
"one hundred thousand;"

In line 11, after the word "Hoffman," insert the names of
"James Boyce and George Warner, jr. ;"

In line 12, after the word "expedient," insert the words
' 'after ten days public notice, published in three daily news-
papers, one published in Allegany county, and two in the
city of Baltimore;

In line 29, after the word "received," insert the words
"not exceeding one hundred thousand shares of one hundred
dollars each;"

Section 6, line 5, after the word "railroad," insert the
words "within Allegany county ;"

Which were adopted,

And the bill as amended read the second time.
Also, reported from a Select Committee,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 69 of Article
1, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany county, sub-
title, "Fences," and to re-enact the same with amendments ,

Also, reported from the Committee on Corporations,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorise the President,
Managers and Company of the Baltimore and Yorktown
Turnpike Road, to run the cars for conveying passengers on
the Sabbath day, commonly called Sunday ;

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Broadway and
Locust Point Steam Ferry Company of Maryland ;

Which was read the second time.

Also, reported favorably

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Bachman
Valley Railroad Company.
