406 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 10, On motion by Mr. Maddox, Leave was granted to the Senators from St. Mary's, Calvert and Prince George's county to introduce a bill to establish a cattle and Hay scales in Leonardtown, Md. On motion by Mr. Clarke, Leave was granted to the Senators from Baltimore. Carroll and Frederick counties to introduce a bill to provide for a more efficient system of Free Public Schools in Baltimore county, and to levy and collect taxes for the support of the same. On motion by Mr. Walsh, Leave was granted to the Committee on Agriculture to in- troduce a bill to prevent the spread of the disease known as "Pleuro Pneumonia," said to be existing at present among cattle in different sestions of the State. On motion by Mr. Malone, Leave was granted to the Senators from Somerset, Wicomi- co and Dorchester to report a bill to appoint an additional Visitor to the Maryland Hospital. Mr. Lee reported Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of Executions, Administrators and Guardians in certain cases, Which was read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Judicial Proceedings. Mr. Maddox, from the Select Committee reported unfavora- bly Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal a portion of section 308 of Article 93, title Testamentary Laws, sub-title "Wills," relating to the Execution of Wills by married Women and to re-enact the same as amended. Which report was concurred in Also, reported favorably Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Chapter 153, passed January session 1867, entitled an Act to add additional section to Article 30, of the Code of Public General Laws, re- lating to Crimes and Punishments, and to re-enact the same with an amendment; With the following amendments. Amend section 1, line 10, by inserting after the word "thereof," the words "in any Court of this State ;" Amend section 1, line 13, by striking out the words " or Justice of the Peace ;" |
