Also, House bill entitled an Act supplemental to an Act entitled an Act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road form Ellicott's City to Elysville, in Howard county, passed at the January session, 1867, chapter 361. Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit- tee on Corporations. Also, Joint resolutions in relation to the promotion of the do- mestic trade in guano. Which were read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Federal Relations. Also, House bill entitled an Act to incorporate a company to build a turnpike road from Pipe Greek, through Middleburg to Taneytown, in Carroll county. Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee on Corporations. Also, A bill entitled an Act to add to the fourth Article of the Code of Public Local Laws the following sections empow- ering the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to construct, open, enlarge or straighten sewers within the limits of the city and to provide the means for paying the same, and com- pensation for, and if damage to property holders, caused by the construction, opening, enlarging or straightening of any sewer within the limits of the city.
