Mr. Brewer presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Montgomery county, asking the passage of a prohibitory
liquor law for Darnestown, of that county.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2 and 3 of
Article 36, of the Code of Public General Laws, title " Es-
trays," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to
Article 16 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
" Chancery," to come in after section 78 of said Article.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Inspections.
Also,

House bill entitled an Act to add to Article 19 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Somerset county, entitled "Jurors,"
an additional section.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to protect oysters in.Honga and
Nanticoke Rivers, during the summer months.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act supplementary and amenda
tory of an Act passed at this session, entitled an Act to
amend the charter of the Cumberland and Pennsylvania
Rail Road Company, passed at January session, 1849, chap-
ter 469.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
and Drum Point Rail Road Company.
