Maryland Penitentiary, and to substitute in lieu of sections
3, 9, 16, 17 and 87, the following.

An Act to incorporate the Monrovia and Libertytown
Turnpike Road Company.

An Act to promote the efficiency of the Orphans' Court of
Baltimore county.

An Act to repeal sections 4,5,6,7 and 8, of Article 20,
of the Code of Public Local Laws for Talbot county, entitled
"Alms House," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

An Act to release to Wm. Watson all the rights and in-
terest of the State of Maryland, in and to the personal estate
of Michael M. Mitchell, late of Baltimore county, deceased.

An Act to authorize the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Tal-
bot county, to copy the General Index to Land Records in
his office from 1833 to 1868.

On motion by Mr. Hyland, it was

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal of the Senate
that John C. Parker is detained from his seat by severe in-
disposition.

Mr. Malone, from a select committee, reported

Senate bill entitled a supplement to the Act passed at the
January session of 1864, chapter 116, entitled an Act to re-
vive and extend an Act to incorporate the Wicomico and
Pocomoke Bail Road Company, with amendment, passed
December session, 1847.

Which was read the first time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 4 and 5 of the
Act passed the 8th day of March, 1856, chapter 148, entitled
an Act to incorporate the Kent County Rail Road Company,
and to re-enact the same with amendment,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to empower the Chesnut Hill
Iron Ore Company of Columbia, Pennsylvania, to hold lands
in the State of Maryland,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a. third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Worthington
Valley and Manchester Rail Road Company,
