The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The following message was received from his Excellency, Governor Swann, and read : EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, ANNAPOLIS, March 3, 1868. Gentlemen of the Senate : I have this day signed and transmitted to the Clerk of the Court of Appeals the following bills received from your Hon- orable Body, on the 29th day of February, ultimo : An Act for the relief of Benjamin Frost, alias Waters. An Act to incorporate a company to construct a turnpike road from Hagerstown to Cearfoss Cross Roads, in Washing- ton county. An Act to incorporate the Deer Park Turnpike Road Com- pany of Baltimore county. An Act to incorporate the Mutual Fire Insurance Com- pany of Anne Arundel county. An Act to permit the citizens of Hooper's Island, Dorches- ter county, to shoot and take wild fowl from sink boats, blinds or otherwise for home consumption. An Act to alter and amend an Act to incorporate the Mu- tual Insurance Company of Allegany county, passed at De- cember session, 1847, chap. 111, and the several supplements thereto, so as to convert the said company into a stock company, to be known as the Fire Insurance Company of Allegany county. An Act to repeal the 18th section of the 1st Article of the Code of Public Local Laws, title Allegany county, and to re-enact the same with amendments. An Act to repeal the 32d section of the 5th Article of the Public Local Laws entitled Calvert county, relating to Jus- tices of the Peace and Constables, and provide for three addi- tional Justices of the Peace for said county.
