Carroll, Grove, Denson, Kimmel, Earle, Miller, Fields, Snyder—8. The bill was then read a second time as amended, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. On motion by Mr. Earle, The following message was sent to the House of Dele- gates : BY THE SENATE, March 3d, 1868. Gentlemen of the Souse of Delegates : We respectfully request your Honorable Body to return House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to invest the balance of the unappropriated fund arising from the sale of the land scrip, donated to this State by the United States, for the benefit of agricultural and mechanic arts, for the further consideration of the Senate. This bill re- ceived the unfavorable action of the Senate on the 29th of February. By order, A. GASSAWAY, Secretary.
