1868.] OF THE SENATE. 351 Court of Baltimore city to make out a copy of the revised assessment of 1866 and return the same to the Comptroller of the Treasury, Being on its second' reading, Mr. Snyder offered the following amendment : Amend section 1 by striking out the woid " October," where it occurs in the 13th line, and insert in lieu thereof the word " December." Which was adopted. Said bill was then read a second time, as amended, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. House bill entitled a supplement to an Act of incorpora- tion, passed at December session, 1849, chapter 34, with the amendment, Being the order of the day, Upon the adoption of the amendment, Was taken up. Mr. Snyder submitted the following amendment to the amendment: Amend by striking out all that occurs after the word " Company," at the end of 2d line, and insert in lieu thereof the following: " The exclusive right to use as a landing the wharf known as the ' County Wharf,' nor to deprive the citizens of the counties of the State of the right to the use of said wharf, in common with said company." The amendment to the amendment was rejected by yeas and nays as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Carroll, Grove, Denson, Kimmel, Earle, Miller, Fields, Snyder—8. NEGATIVE. Messrs.
