Mr. Clarke, from the Committee on Printing, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1864, chap- ter 405, relating to the establishment of a uniform system of contracting for public printing. Which was read the second time. Senate bill entitled a further supplement to an Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Cuba Smelting and Mining Company, passed at December session, 1844, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. On motion by Mr. Clarke, Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed- ings to introduce a bill granting further time to Joseph Walker, late Sheriff of Baltimore county, to complete and close up his business as Sheriff of said county. On motion by Mr. Hammond, Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to in- troduce a bill to amend section 3, chapter 123, of the laws of 1867, title " School House sites," and " sources of income." Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Cecil Land and Loan Company, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading, Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 3 of an Act entitled an Act incorporating the Maryland Institute for the promotion of the Mechanic Arts, passed December session, 1849, chapter 1 14, and to enact a substitute therefor, and to add additional sections thereto, as sections 8 and 9, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for refunding money paid into the State Treasury, |
