BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

FEBRUARY 28,1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message proposing the appointment
of a joint committee (of conference) of two on the part of the
Senate, and three on the part of the House, to consider the
advantages proposed to be secured by Senate bill entitled an
Act to add new sections to Article 16 of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled " Chancery," which failed to become
a law in this House, and we concur therein. We have ap-
pointed on the part of the House, Messrs. Mitchell, Jones
and Latrobe.

Senate joint resolutions in relation to the rejection of the
Hon. Philip F. Thomas (senator elect from Maryland,) by
the Senate of the United States.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Monrovia andi
Libertytown Turnpike Road Company.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, returned

Senate bill entitled an Act to release to William Watson
all the right and interest of the State of Maryland, in and to
the personal estate of Michael M. Mitchell, late of Baltimore
county, deceased.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, returned

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections first and sec-
ond of the Act of Assembly, 1862, chapter 234, entitled an
Act to amend an Act to provide for the erection of a Hospital
for the Insane of this State, and sections 4, 5, 6 and 8 of the
Act of Assembly of 1864, chapter 248, entitled an Act for the
government of the Insane Asylum, and to regulate admis-
sions thereto, and to enact the following sections in lieu
thereof.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
