On motion by Mr. Walsh, The bill was referred to the Committee on Internal Im- provements. On motion by Mr. Earle, Leave was granted to the Committee on Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries, to report a bill to prohibit the catching offish in nets, by driving them into the same by thrashing on the water with poles or other instruments. Mr. Grove, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact the Act of 1867, chapter 185, for the suppression of the crime of un- lawful abortion. Which was referred to Senators Henkle, Hyland, Browne, Smith, Parker, of Calvert, and Brewer. On motion by Mr Fields, The Senate adjourned until to-morrow, at 12, M. |
