8 of an Act passed January session, 1864, chapter 15, entitled
an Act to aid and encourage enlistments into the Maryland
regiments in the service of the United States, and also to-
repeal sections 4 and 5 of an Act passed January session,
1865, chapter 33, entitled an Act to provide bounty for sol-
diers entering the service of the United States to fill the
quota of Maryland, under the call of the President of the
United States of December, 1864, and under future calls.

Which was read the first time.
Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller of
the Treasury to adjust and settle the acccounts due by Col-
lectors, Sheriffs, Clerks, Registers and other receivers of the,
public moneys, incases where the indebtedness accrued prior
to the year 1866.

Which was read the first time.
Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act to aid in the establishment of a
Hospital in connection with the Washington University of
Baltimore, and to appropriate money for the same.

Which was read the first time.
Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed Janu-
ary session, 1867, chap 372, entitled an Act to further extend
the time and provisions of an Act passed January 6th, chap-
ter 15, and March 4th, 1864, chapter 373, and the supple-
ments thereto, relating to the payments of bounties to volun-
teers and dratted men of this State.

Mr. Browne from a select committee, reported

Senate bill entitled an Act to appoint an additional Con-
stable in Election District, No. 5, in Carroll county.

Which was read the first time.
Mr. Maddox from a select committee reported back
Senate bill entitled an Act to establish Physicians' liens
With proposed amendment as follows :

Insert at the end of line 3, "except existing liens at the
time of death."

Mr. Earle moved a call of the Senate, and

The Sergeant-at-Arms was sent to notify the absent
