172 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 29,

On motion of Mr. Coad,

Leave was granted to the Committee oa Corporations to
Introduce a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Patapsco
Guano Company of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Devecmon,

Leave was granted to the Allegany county delegation to
report a bill entitled an Act extending the time to the County
Commissioners of Allegany county to correct errors in assess-
ment of property for taxes in said county.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported unfavorably a bill entitled an Act to establish
another Court in Baltimore city, in pursuance of Article 4,
part 4, section 39, of the Constitution of Maryland, and to
change and amend the jurisdiction of the Circuit Court of
Baltimore city.

The report was concurred in.

Also, unfavorably, a bill entitled an Act to add additional
sections to Article 18, of the Code of Public General Laws,
relating to clerks generally.

The report was concurred in.

Also, unfavorably, a bill entitled an Act to add an ad-
ditional section to Article 53, of the Code of Public General
Laws of the State of Maryland, entitled Landlord and Tenant,
to follow 21.

The report was concurred in.

Mr. Colton, Chairman of a Select Committee reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to amend the Code of
Public General Laws, title, Publication of Laws, by adding
thereto an additional section as follows.

Which was read a first time,

Mr. Brown, Chairman of the Committee on Inspections,
reported favorably a bill entitled an Act to provide for the
repayment out of the storage and outage on tobacco of
moneys heretofore demanded and received by the Inspectors
of Tobacco, in violation of the Acts of 1864, chapter 346,
and 1865, chapter 194, and to repeal the Act of 1867, chap-
ter 148, in relation to that subject,

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, the House took up for consideration,

The bill entitled an Act to establish, in the city of Aa-
napolis, a State Printing Office,
