of said city, not exceeding thirty-three acres of land, to be
conveyed to the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road Company, for
the purpose of erecting thereon, a rolling mill and other im-
provements, and to issue bonds to pay for the same,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate a company to
make a Turnpike Road from the city of Westminster to the
Baltimore and Liberty Road, intersecting said road between
the village of Eldersburg and the Baltimore and Carroll
county line, in Carroll county,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

Mr. Smith presented the report of the joint select commit-
tee appointed to visit the beneficiary institutions of the State,
go far as concerns the Maryland Penitentiary.

to be printed.
