Messrs. Browne, Lee, Clarke, Maddox, Carroll, Miller, Denson, Parker, of Calvert, Fields, Spates, Grove, Snyder, Hyland, Smith, Hammond, Welch—17. Kimmel, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. House bill entitled an Act to incorporate a company to make a Turnpike Road from the city of Westminster to the Baltimore and Liberty Road, intersecting said road between the village of Eldersburg and the Baltimore and Carroll county line, in Carroll county, Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Browne, Kimmel, Clarke, Lee, Carroll, Maddox, Denson, Miller, Earle, Parker, of Calvert, Fields, Spates, Grove, Snyder, Hyland, Smith—17. Hammond, NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Mr. Smith presented the report of the joint select commit- tee appointed to visit the beneficiary institutions of the State, go far as concerns the Maryland Penitentiary. Which was read, and, On motion by Mr. Snyder, One hundred and fifty copies of the report were ordered to be printed. |
