Mr. Clarke presented a similar petition.

Both of which were referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Malone presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Worcester county against the passage of the law dividing
an election district in the county.

Which was referred to the Senators from Worcester, Som-
erset and Wicomico.

Mr. Henkle presented the petition from the Eleventh
School District of Anne Arundel county for a law prohibit-
ing the sale of liquors in said district.

Which was referred to the Committee on Education.

On motion by Mr. Snyder, it was

Ordered, that the Committee on Finance be instructed to
return to the Senate House bill entitled an Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments sections 33, 34, 35, 39 and 75 of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Revenues
and Taxes," &c.

On motion by Mr. Hyland,

The following message was sent to the House of Delegates:

BY THE SENATE,

February 21, 1868.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message asking the return of House
bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments
sections 33, 34, 35, 39 and 75 of Article 81 of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled " Revenues and Taxes," and
relating to the appointment of, and the bonds to be given by,
and compensation paid to the Collectors of State Taxes, and
herewith return the same.

On motion by Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Dorchester, Som-
erset and Caroliue to introduce a bill to incorporate the
Antioch Methodist Episcopal Church South, in Dorchester
county.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to repeal section 155 of Article 3, o
Public Local Laws of Baltimore county, sub-title Roads, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.
