House bill entitled an Act to incorporate a company to
make a Turnpike Road from the city of Westminster to the
Baltimore and Liberty Road, intersecting said road between
the village of Eldersburg and the Baltimore and Carroll
county line, in Carroll county.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Allegany county, to improve a road running
from Green Ridge on the National Turnpike to Twiggs'
Lock, on the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, with amendment.

Amendment: After the word county, in third line of first
section, strike out the word "shall," and insert the words
"to be authorized to."

Which was adopted,

And the bill read a second time.

Mr. Welch presented a memorial from the Visitors and
Governors of Washington College to the General Assembly.
Which was opiered to be printed.
